Coaching Staff
Amanda, a former Markham swimmer, is a Level III Coach. Amanda swam for the Markham Synchro Club from 1988-1996. While at University she was Head Coach of the Guelph Synchro Club. She rejoined our coaching staff in the 1999-2000 season and has been with the club since. For the 2009-2010 season Amanda is coaching our Mini Synchro Program and assisting all of our coaches and athletes.
Heather Beveridge ~ Competitive Program
Kim has a rich synchro background as an athlete, she swam for 10 years, 8 years at the National level. During this time Kim had the opportunity to compete in two International meets, traveling to Scotland and Sweden . Kim began coaching in 1998 and coached with Burlington and Kingston before coming to Markham. This season Kim is coaching our 11-12 team, our Tier 6 solo, and our combo team. Michelle Ashworth ~ Recreational Program Michelle Ashworth is a former Markham Synchro athlete and coach. Michelle has just returned from attending the University of Ottawa, while she continues her education she is staying involved in synchro through a Master’s duet and coaching.
Annette Petersen ~ Novice Program Annette is a former Markham Synchro athlete, she competed with the club from 2001-2005 at which point she moved to the National stream and swam with the Olympium Synchro Club. Annette has an accomplished career as an athlete and is putting her skills into swimming a Master’s solo and coaching our Novice program.
Daniella Lato ~ Mini Synchro Program Daniella is a long-time Markham Synchro Athlete, in addition to swimming this year she is also coaching our mini synchro program. Daniella has experience coaching at the recreational level and is really looking forward to working with our youngest athletes this season.
Constanza Maass ~ Recreational Program
Constanza is a member our 13-15 and combo teams. This is her fifth year as an athlete and her first year coaching. She is excited to have the opportunity to see things from the other side as a coach of our recreational swimmers. |
