Tier 5 Team Qualifies for Ontario Winter Games! |

A HUGE congratulations to our Tier 5 team who will be representing the Central Region at the upcoming Ontario Winter Games!
On Saturday they travelled to Brantford for a very long one day competition. The day started off with the land drill competition, this is a new event that Synchro Ontario is trying out at Ontario Winter Games. What a very different experience! In this competition the girls had to...
land drill on stage- this posed some problems as they had to navigate stairs during their walk-on and the judges (unexpectantly) were seated on the stage, only about 4 feet from the girls! They did a great job and placed third overall- second in our region.
Next up was the team competition, the girls had a great run through- they looked AMAZING. It is quite an accomplishment to be able to swim such a polished routine at this point in the year, both Kim and the girls should be congratulated on their very hard work! The team competition finished with the 3 central region teams within 0.5 of each other, and we were in third. However, the girls perserved and focussed on having an amazing figures meet- which they certainly did! In the Tier 4 figures, 13 and Under Daniella placed 6th overall and THIRD in our region. In the Tier 4 figures, 14 and Over Dora placed 11th overall and 8th in our region and Katija placed second overall and FIRST in our region! In Tier 5 figures, 14 and over, Liz placed 10th overall and 4th in our region, Sara and Isabel tied for 5th overall and THIRD in our region, and Nicole placed FIRST in our region and FIRST overall! What a fabulous set of results!
It was a very long and stressful day, figures didn't end until about 9:30pm! The girls did an amazing job of staying focused and enthusiastic throughout the event!
Absolutely amazing! Girls you made us very proud! |
