April 8-9^th, 2011

This was ourfirst competition for the Provincial streamed athletes and we are off to greatstart! 

Figures

Our 10 and Underteam did figures for the first time and everyone had a successful firstmeet!  Ally placed was our top swimmer inthe 10 and Under figures, placing 15^th.  Both Jenny and Mikaela moved up an agecategory this year and had to learn new figures, both girls placed 11^thin their respective age categories.  Inthe 15 year old age category Catalina placed 5^th.  Our top figures swimmer was Bella, who placed2^nd by a narrow margin in the 14 year old age category.

Routines

Our 10 and Underteam had a fantastic first competition swim. The team placed 4^th overall and reminded everyone of whyrecess is so much fun!

Our 11-12 duetof Mikaela and Carolina had a great swim, their Mary Poppins routine iscertainly a crowd pleaser!  The girls placed4^th in routine and 7^th overall.  Their excellent routine swim has earned thema pre-swimming position at the Ontario Age Group Championships in May.

The 13-15 teamhad a good “time” during their first swim and were awarded the silver medal.   Theteam was joined by the duet, Daniella and Sarah for combo, where they took thecrowd on a trip to New York city.  Thecombo also won a silver medal.
