On
February 6th our Novice and Mini swimmers participated in their very first meet
of the season! At this meet the girls competed in three figures, splits,
and speed testing. All of our swimmers had excellent performances,
especially considering that they had never attended a competition before.
Hannah placed 7th overall in figures for the 12 year old age category and
placed second in front walkover for all 11-12 swimmers.
Shirelle placed 6th overall in figures for the 11 year old age category and got
a gold ranking for her splits!
In the 10 year old age category Briar placed 8th and Marina placed 12th.
Briar also acheived a gold rank for splits and both girls achieved a gold
ranking for their speed testing.
Rachel placed 2nd in the 8 year old age group, and was 1st for all 8 and unders
in her sailboat single figure. Lia placed 6th overall for 8 year olds and
was first overall in her tub turn.
Caitlin placed 13th in the 7 year old age group and was very proud to show off
the back tuck sommersault that she just learned.
Emily had a little trouble with her back tuck but her other two figures were
1st for all 6 year olds and she placed 2nd overall in the 6 year old age
category.
Great work girls, you really made us proud and we hope that you enjoyed your
first synchro meet as much as we did!
